Charter With a Crew

Oyster yacht charter means renting a privately owned Oyster sailing yacht for a week with its own captain and crew. There is no bareboat option in the fleets we book. You book through a broker like us. Weekly fees run from about €10,700 to €120,000, with expenses paid on top.

Each Boat Is Different

Every Oyster you can charter is someone's own yacht. The layout, crew and terms differ from boat to boat. An owner may charter theirs out for only part of the year. We check each boat for your dates, including what the fee covers, before sending you a quote.

How to Charter an Oyster

Crewed only · Booked through a broker

You charter an Oyster with its own captain and crew. Send us your dates, area, guest numbers and budget. We ask the owners' agents which boats are available, check the rate and terms, and arrange the booking as your broker.

How We Book It

Use the enquiry form further down the page. Send your dates, or a rough window, where you want to sail, how many guests there will be and your budget.

We ask each Oyster's owner's agent which boats are free on your dates. We get the current rate and terms, then send you a quote you can compare. We negotiate on your behalf and stay with you from the first enquiry until you step ashore.

We pass your payments on to the charter company. We do not hold your money in our account until the charter. The balance is due 60 days before the charter starts, or earlier if the charter company needs it. The exact date is on your invoice.

Captain and Crew Included

These are private yachts chartered with their own captain and crew. None of the bareboat fleets we book list a single Oyster-built yacht. In practice, an Oyster charter means a crewed yacht charter.

The crew sail the yacht and look after the boat. You do not need to put together a sailing crew to book one.

Owners Charter Their Yachts

These are private yachts whose owners charter them out. That is why each one is different and availability is checked per boat. Oyster also runs its own charter service for owners' yachts. We are independent, so we can put Oysters and other boats side by side for you to compare.

What a Week Costs

Weekly charter fees in our data run from about €10,700 to €120,000. These are July 2026 listing rates, confirmed in a quote. The fee is only part of the cost.

The Advanced Provisioning Allowance, or APA, is paid on top, usually about 25-30% of the charter fee. It covers expenses such as fuel, food and drink, laundry, port fees and local taxes. Taxes and inclusions vary by boat and area. Your quote sets these out.

Oysters You Can Charter

10 yachts · 17.1m to 37m

These are the Oysters in our search. Each opens to its own page with photos and specs. The list changes as boats are sold or stop chartering. Ask us if the one you want is missing, an 885, say.

From about €10,700 to €120,000 a week

These are July 2026 listing rates, using each boat's lowest published weekly fee before APA. Some were converted from US dollars. The rate, availability, taxes and what is included are confirmed in a quote for your dates.

17m to 20m Boats From about €10,700 to €24,000

Sea Pearl, Spirit, Jersey Girl, Mellivora and Elvis Magic have 2 to 4 cabins for 4 to 6 guests. Fees run from about €10,700 to €24,000 a week. We would start here for a family. Check the cabin layout first, rather than choosing on length alone.

23m to 25m Boats From about €17,800 to €32,800

Crazy Horse, Champagne Hippy, Midnight and Dama de Noche each have 3 cabins for 6 guests. Fees run from about €17,800 to €32,800 a week. We would compare these for a group wanting a larger boat. The extra length does not mean more guest places.

The 37m Boat From about €120,000 a week

Archelon is the biggest Oyster in our search, at 37m. Built in 2019, she has 5 cabins for 12 guests and lists Palma de Mallorca as her base. The weekly fee is from about €120,000. We would put her on the list when you need more guest places than the smaller Oysters provide.

Where They Sail

Caribbean · Mediterranean · Further afield

The listings give the Caribbean, Western and Eastern Mediterranean, US East Coast and Oceania as cruising areas. A listed area is not a promise that the boat will be there on your dates. We check that with the owner's agent.

Caribbean 6 yachts

Sea Pearl, Spirit, Jersey Girl, Elvis Magic, Midnight and Dama de Noche list the Caribbean as a cruising area.

Western Mediterranean 6 yachts

Mellivora, Champagne Hippy, Archelon, Elvis Magic, Midnight and Dama de Noche list the Western Mediterranean. Champagne Hippy and Archelon list Palma de Mallorca as their base.

Other Listed Cruising Areas 3 yachts

Archelon also lists the Eastern Mediterranean. Jersey Girl lists the US East Coast, and Crazy Horse lists Oceania.
