1.Families
Children and Parents
On a family sailing holiday, start with the children's ages and who will supervise them. The youngest may need one adult each, without other safety duties. Catamarans offer more space and stability than monohulls, though they are harder to fence in. Decide whether to take a skipper before choosing the boat and route.
2.Groups
Friends Travelling Together
For friends sailing together, agree cabin sharing and how you will split expenses before choosing a yacht. A big group can charter several boats and sail together as its own private flotilla. Discuss who will skipper each boat and the sailing plan you want to share.
3.Honeymoons
A Charter for Two
For a honeymoon or anniversary afloat, choose between sailing yourselves, taking a skipper or adding crew. You make your own flight and hotel arrangements: SailChecker sells no packages and gives no advice on flights or hotels.
