SailChecker note

19 years old. Yachts of this age statistically need more in-charter maintenance attention, ask the operator for the recent service log when you enquire, and budget a small contingency for niggles (a stuck winch, a tired bilge pump). On a well-cared-for boat this is usually just part of the rhythm of charter, on a neglected one, it can spoil a week.

## General

ATLAS is a 74-metre full-displacement motor [yacht](/what-is-a-yacht/) built by the German shipyard Lürssen and delivered in 2007. She was comprehensively refitted in 2024 and carries the former names Global and, originally, Kismet, under which she was constructed at Lürssen's Bremen facility. Her exterior lines were drawn by Espen Øeino International, a designer whose portfolio spans some of the most recognised superyachts afloat, while the naval architecture is the work of Lürssen themselves. Interior design throughout is by the British studio Reymond Langton Design. The hull is steel and the superstructure aluminium, with a teak deck; construction was carried out to Lloyd's Register standards. Twin Caterpillar diesel engines power the vessel to a top speed of 16 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 14 knots, with a published range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. At-anchor stabilisers are fitted, as is an elevator serving the vessel's six decks. ATLAS is registered under the Cayman Islands flag.

Charter rates are from {price_from}, plus [APA](/advanced-provisioning-allowance-apa/) and local tax, shown in full.

## Accommodation & Crew

ATLAS accommodates up to 12 guests across six staterooms. The [cabin](/what-is-a-cabin/) layout comprises a master suite, a VIP cabin, three convertible double cabins, and a sixth cabin fitted with twin beds and a private ensuite, well suited to younger guests. Every guest cabin is individually styled and benefits from the Reymond Langton Design interior scheme, characterised by large voids between decks, oversized windows and considered use of natural light. The master suite includes a private balcony and a dedicated hot tub terrace.

On board amenities include a private cinema, a discotheque, an expansive beach club with sauna and dedicated massage space, a wine lounge, a formal dining table seating 18, a second salon, a fully equipped gymnasium, and a helideck. The water-toys inventory runs to flyboards, stand-up paddleboards, SeaBobs, jet skis, wakeboards and towable toys, among others.

A professional crew of 24 is included with every charter. Guests sail entirely in the care of the crew and take no part in operating the vessel.

## Location

ATLAS operates on a seasonal rotation between the Mediterranean and the Western Atlantic. Summer charters cover the Western Mediterranean, with itineraries taking in France, the French Riviera, Corsica, the Provence coast, Italy and Croatia. Winter charters move to the Bahamas and the broader Caribbean. Her 5,000-nautical-mile range gives the vessel the ocean-crossing capability that this schedule demands, and she has a well-established record in both regions.

Licences
None needed: this is a fully crewed charter. The professional crew hold all required licences, so no sailing qualifications or experience are required from your party.
Cancellation
Cancellation terms are operator-specific and disclosed in the charter contract before payment. As a rule, most Mediterranean operators retain the full charter fee within 30 days of departure; we recommend charter cancellation insurance (typically 4-5% of the charter fee).
