What KateBot thinksStrengths and trade-offs
21 years old. Yachts of this age statistically need more in-charter maintenance attention, ask the operator for the recent service log when you enquire, and budget a small contingency for niggles (a stuck winch, a tired bilge pump). On a well-cared-for boat this is usually just part of the rhythm of charter, on a neglected one, it can spoil a week.
Solid mid-range choice The Bavaria 36 Cruiser is a well-proven design that suits couples, small families, or friends looking for comfortable cruising without breaking the bank. At 11.4 metres with three cabins sleeping eight, you've got genuine comfort and flexibility for a week-long escape.
Smart practical features Arcobaleno comes equipped for real cruising, solar panels mean less reliance on the engine for power, autopilot reduces fatigue on longer passages, and the chart plotter keeps navigation straightforward. The bimini and sprayhood are genuine quality-of-life additions that matter on the water.
Excellent value proposition At €1,756 per week with only a €2,000 deposit, this represents honest pricing for a well-maintained 2005 boat in this class. You're getting genuine cruising capability without premium pricing, which is refreshing.
One honest note The 2005 build age means systems and upholstery will show their years, though nothing here suggests poor maintenance. If you're very particular about "like new" aesthetics, manage expectations, but the boat clearly works hard and delivers real value.
