How Do I Get From Corfu To Lefkas?

Lefkas is probably the most famous starting marina for those who want to explore the Ionian Islands, along with Corfu Port. Knowing just how to get from Corfu to Kefas is very useful to know. You could, for instance, save alot of money on flights.

Corfu

In order to get to Lefkas Marina you need to fly to Preveza, a city that belongs to the mainland and is connected with Lefkas Island via a bridge. Pretty fast and easy. However, what if you can't find direct or cheap flights to Preveza? You can try Corfu.

Corfu is an amazing island that combines the medieval with the modern element - you will love the old city and the narrow streets called "kadounia".

Book your flights direct to Corfu. The airport, named Ioannis Kapodistrias, is 2 Km far from Corfu town and you can reach it by taxi or bus.
Inside the airport you can find different public services as restaurants, bars, shops, bank, post office, rentals, police, fire police and first aid service.

Lefkas

There is a bus that connects the airport with the city and the stops are:
Garitsa, Alexandras street, San Rocco square (in the centre of the city), the central bus station and the port.
The cost is 1,50 € and you can buy the ticket directly on the bus.

You need to stop at the port and then take the ferry to Igoumenitsa. There are many scheduled route during the day, almost one every half hour. The duration is 1 hour and a half and the cost is around €10/p,p.

After reaching Igoumenitsa, you need to go to the bus station (Tel. Number: +3026650 22309) and take the bus that goes directly to Lefkas.(Distance: 143km) Tickets cost around €12/p.p. Lefkada's Bust Station Tel. Number: +3026450 22364
