What KateBot thinks
KateBot generated · ~200 words
20 years old. Yachts of this age statistically need more in-charter maintenance attention, ask the operator for the recent service log when you enquire, and budget a small contingency for niggles (a stuck winch, a tired bilge pump). On a well-cared-for boat this is usually just part of the rhythm of charter, on a neglected one, it can spoil a week.
## General
Oceanos is a 49.2-metre superyacht built by Mondo Marine in 2006 and refitted in 2022. The exterior lines and interior spaces were conceived by Studio Giorgio Vafiadis, whose work gives the vessel a coherent aesthetic from hull to saloon. The 2022 refit ensures that the fit-out and mechanical systems reflect contemporary standards across a platform that was already well regarded at launch. At 9.0 metres of beam, the hull offers generous volume relative to her length, which translates into comfortable living and social spaces throughout.
## Accommodation & Crew
Oceanos accommodates guests across seven cabins, served by a professional crew of eleven. A crew of that size relative to a seven-cabin layout allows for attentive, unhurried service without the vessel feeling overstaffed. Charters are arranged through IYC, with SailChecker providing independent advice. Charter rates begin from {price_from}, with [APA](/advanced-provisioning-allowance-apa/) and applicable local taxes shown in full before booking, so the figure presented reflects the true cost with no hidden additions.
## Location
Oceanos cruises the western Mediterranean between Naples and Nice, a passage that takes in some of the most celebrated coastline in the region. The itinerary range covers the Amalfi Coast and the Bay of Naples to the south, the islands of Capri, Ischia, and Procida, continuing northward along the Italian Riviera and into the waters of the French Riviera toward Nice. The area offers a combination of historic ports, quieter anchorages, and sheltered bays suited to extended cruising from spring through to autumn.

Good to know
- Licences
- None needed: this is a fully crewed charter. The professional crew hold all required licences, so no sailing qualifications or experience are required from your party.
- Cancellation
- Cancellation terms are operator-specific and disclosed in the charter contract before payment. As a rule, most Mediterranean operators retain the full charter fee within 30 days of departure; we recommend charter cancellation insurance (typically 4-5% of the charter fee).
