## General
Maia is a 53.1-metre custom motor yacht built in 2025 by Radež shipyard, based in Bristva, Croatia. She was conceived and commissioned by Captain Filip Jakir and designed from the outset as a dedicated charter vessel. Her construction follows the rules and regulations of the Croatian Register of Shipping. The yacht's exterior draws on classic motor yacht proportions: a heritage green steel hull with an elongated bow and stern, a soft-white aluminium superstructure with wood panelling and teak decking, and continuous rows of arched windows. A signature yellow and black funnel crowns the tri-deck profile. Maia is powered by two Caterpillar C18 engines, each delivering approximately 600 hp, and carries a bow thruster for close-quarters manoeuvring. Her cruising speed is 11 knots, with a reported maximum of 12 knots. A notable operational characteristic is her relatively low fuel consumption of approximately 35 to 40 litres per hour, which bears on the running costs guests should expect as part of the [APA](/advanced-provisioning-allowance-apa/). Maia is based at Split Harbour and is represented for charter by Otium Yachts.
## Accommodation & Crew
### Cabins
Maia accommodates up to 12 guests across six ensuite staterooms. The layout comprises one master suite on the main deck, two VIP cabins, and three convertible cabins configurable as either double or twin berths, all situated on the lower deck. Every [cabin](/what-is-a-cabin/) has a private bathroom with shower. The main deck master suite has a private entrance and panoramic views, providing separation from the remaining five cabins below. A seventh multifunctional space is fitted with a sauna, gym equipment, a massage table and a Pullman bed, making it usable as a wellness area or additional accommodation as required.
The main salon is arranged with a lounge and bar aft and a dining area forward, finished in green marble and coordinating soft furnishings. Outdoor deck areas include a jacuzzi. Leisure equipment noted across charter listings includes a RIS Marine 650 tender with a Mercury F175 outboard, two personal watercraft, two e-foils, two SeaBob F9S units, stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, waterskis, snorkelling equipment and inflatable water toys.
### Crew quarters
Maia carries dedicated crew accommodation separate from the guest cabins. Charter rate details are from {price_from}, plus APA and local tax, shown in full.
## Location
Maia is based at Split Harbour on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia. Split is a practical and well-connected departure point for the central and southern Adriatic. Charter itineraries from this base typically cover the islands and historic towns of the Dalmatian archipelago, including Hvar, Vis, Korčula, Brač and the Kornati Islands to the north, as well as Dubrovnik and the Elafiti Islands to the south. Montenegro and Greece are also reachable for longer programmes. The Croatian coastal waters are protected by a network of national parks and nature parks, which add anchorage options in areas of particular scenic and ecological interest. Croatia requires a valid cruising permit for foreign-flagged vessels navigating its territorial waters; Maia, as a Croatian-built and registered [yacht](/what-is-a-yacht/), operates under domestic flag.
