About this yacht
The Bali 4.1 catamaran represents the entry point (within the Superior category, at least!) of our catamaran lineup. It embodies the vision of a new generation of sailing catamarans designed for both charter and living—not solely for speedier sailing. Think of it as a floating villa, tailored for guests who prioritize spaciousness and comfort over rapid performance.
Like all Bali models, the 4.1 is a game-changer in holiday concepts, making sailing accessible and enjoyable even for those without advanced skills. Whether you're a novice or an experienced sailor, you'll appreciate the vast living areas and exceptional stability of our Bali 4.1 catamaran, inviting you into the enchanting realm of sailing charters without breaking the bank (featuring comfortable cabins with electric fans and standard amenities). The Aeolian Islands will serve as the perfect backdrop for your unforgettable sailing adventure!

LIVING AREA

Sailing on this catamaran, you will enjoy its large cockpit/lounge area: a single space for lunches and relaxation, which can be opened or closed as you wish by activating just a button that will allow you to close or lift the large tailgate. At the stern it offers a large sofa which, integrating with the central lounge, allows it to accommodate up to 10 people in total comfort. The forward lounge features a huge kitchen with integrated fridge and freezer from home, as well as numerous compartments for supplies and galley.

SLEEPING AREA

Each cabin features a standard double bed and a private bathroom equipped with an electric toilet and shower. Additionally, there is a wardrobe and drawers available for clothing storage. To help stay cool during warm weather, all cabins include electric fans. Located at the very front, the single cabins can host 2 extra guests—one in each hull—bringing the total comfortable capacity on board to 10 people.

OUTDOOR SPACES

The elevated wheelhouse provides a fantastic, sociable flybridge equipped with two sun loungers, whereas the front deck boasts four to five sun loungers along with a lounge area furnished with two tables, perfect for savoring any bay or anchorage. Consequently, our Bali 4.1 catamaran presents three unique spaces designed to warmly accommodate its guests!

SailChecker Expert View

Ideal for families GINEVRA is a brilliant choice if you're bringing multiple generations or two couples who value space and comfort. The six cabins and ten berths mean everyone gets their own bunk, and the catamaran's stability makes it forgiving for less experienced sailors.

Smart modern touches This 2019 build has genuinely useful kit, solar panels and an inverter keep batteries topped up, electric winches reduce physical strain, and the flybridge is perfect for sunbathing or watching sunsets while someone else helms. The lazy bag and autopilot also mean less faffing about with heavy sails.

Good value proposition At this size and age with six cabins, you're getting reasonable bang for buck, especially if you're splitting costs across a larger group, the per-person daily rate drops nicely. The €4,000 deposit is reasonable and suggests transparent pricing.

One honest note We don't have the charter base location listed, which matters hugely for international clients flying in, turnaround time from major airports and crew handover logistics vary wildly. Before booking, confirm where GINEVRA operates and how Helm Yachting handles airport transfers, as that'll shape your first and last days significantly.

The marina & destination

Based at Capo d'Orlando Marina, in Capo d'Orlando, Italy. GINEVRA is operated by Helm Yachting.

Contrada S. Gregorio

Why this is a great starting point

Capo d'Orlando Marina sits on Sicily's north coast, offering immediate access to the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Aeolian Islands; week one typically involves motor-sailing or light reaching to Lipari, Vulcano, and Salina, with the prevailing northwesterlies allowing comfortable passages of 15-25 nautical miles between anchorages. The marina provides a practical base for exploring protected anchorages around Panarea and Stromboli before returning westward along the Sicilian coast toward the Cefalù area, giving you a mix of overnight anchorages, small harbors, and volcanic scenery without long open-water passages.

Frequently asked questions
Can GINEVRA be rented with or without a skipper?
You can charter GINEVRA bareboat (you skipper) if you hold the relevant sailing licence, or hire a professional skipper alongside the yacht. The choice is yours when you request the quote.
What sailing licence do I need to charter GINEVRA?
Bareboat charter typically requires a recognised sailing licence (RYA Day Skipper, ICC, ASA, or equivalent) plus a VHF radio licence. The exact requirements depend on the country of charter — we confirm with the operator when you enquire.
What's included in the charter price?
The charter fee covers the yacht, standard equipment, and insurance for the dates booked. Tourist tax, transit log (final cleaning + bed linen), fuel, food, marina fees during the trip, and any optional extras (skipper, paddle board, etc.) are normally extra and paid at the base.
What additional costs should I expect at the base?
Typical mandatory extras are the transit log (often €200–€350), tourist tax (a small per-person-per-day fee), and a refundable security deposit (often €1,500–€5,000 depending on the yacht). Optional extras like a skipper, hostess, paddle board, or early check-in are listed on the quote.
How does the security deposit work?
The deposit is held by the operator at check-in (usually card pre-authorisation) and refunded after check-out if the yacht is returned without damage. Many operators offer a deposit-waiver insurance product that reduces the held amount in exchange for a smaller non-refundable premium.
Can I cancel my charter booking?
Cancellation terms vary by operator. Most allow cancellation with a full refund if requested more than 60–90 days before the start date, with progressive penalties closer to departure. Some operators offer a flexible-cancellation insurance product when you book.
Is the yacht insured?
Yes — every yacht is insured by the operator against damage and third-party liability. The insurance covers the yacht itself; personal effects and trip cancellation are not covered and are worth insuring separately.
What documents do I need to bring?
You'll need your passport, sailing licence (if chartering bareboat), VHF radio licence, and proof of payment. The operator will send a check-in form ahead of time covering crew details and any special requests.
What payment methods are accepted?
Charter fees are normally paid by bank transfer in advance (often a 50% deposit at booking, balance 30 days before charter). On-base extras are usually paid by card or in cash.
