About this yacht
Launched in 2012, this luxury gulet has aimed to offer quality and comfort together in the blue cruise since the first day. In addition to being the last and largest boat of the TERSANE series, it is also one of the largest yachts sailing in the southern coastal waters of Turkey. We can say that it is a popular and demanded yacht due to its low availability. Our boat serves our distinguished guests up to 32 people with its luxurious cabins and spacious and comfortable living spaces. There are 6 double, 4 twin and 4 triple (bunk bed) cabins on our boat; Each has a private bathroom and WC. Air conditioning is available (24 hours). All the facilities of our boat, where you can find everything you are looking for in the comfort of your home, are to ensure that you have the most complete and enjoyable boat holiday possible. Our yacht can depart from the ports of Bodrum, Marmaris, Göcek and Fethiye and tour the Turkish territorial waters and the nearby Greek islands (Dodecanese and Cyclades). With its experienced and smiling crew of 10, each with a guest satisfaction-oriented service approach; It makes your time on board extra special. We are sure that you will end your holiday with unforgettable memories.
SailChecker Expert View

Perfect for groups This 44-metre gulet is built for larger parties, 14 cabins sleep up to 32 guests, making it ideal for multi-family holidays, corporate retreats, or special celebrations. The zero deposit requirement is a genuine bonus and removes friction when booking.

Well-equipped vessel You get the essentials covered: air conditioning, water maker, generator, Wi-Fi, and snorkeling kit all included. The ice maker and coffee maker signal attention to creature comforts, while radar and navigation systems are solid for safety.

Value consideration At 2012 vintage with 14 cabins, this gulet likely offers competitive daily rates for large-group charters in Turkey's Mediterranean or Aegean waters. You're paying for space and headcount rather than luxury finishes, sensible if your priority is accommodating everyone affordably rather than five-star interiors.

One honest note With 32 berths across 14 cabins, expect some cabins to be snug; confirm cabin layouts and sizes before committing, as "cosy" shared quarters can test group dynamics on longer charters. Also verify the base location, Ece Yachting typically operates from Turkish ports, so factor in your flight to the nearest international airport (usually Istanbul or Bodrum) when planning onward transfers.

The marina & destination

Based at Marina Yat Limani, in Fethiye, Turkey. Tersane 8 is operated by Ece Yachting.

Why this is a great starting point

Marina Yat Limani sits in Fethiye's well-protected harbour on Turkey's southwest coast, offering straightforward access to the Turquoise Coast's most popular cruising grounds. From here you can reach the Ekincik region and Dalyan delta within a day's sail, with the Greek islands of Symi and Rhodes accessible in 2-3 days if conditions permit; week one typically involves exploring the pine-fringed bays between Fethiye and Oludeniz, with reliable northwesterly winds making the southern passages manageable. The marina's location also puts you within striking distance of Gocek's anchorages and the Sarislar islands, giving you flexibility between sheltered day-sailing and longer coastal passages depending on your crew's experience and preferences.

Frequently asked questions
Can Tersane 8 be rented with or without a skipper?
You can charter Tersane 8 bareboat (you skipper) if you hold the relevant sailing licence, or hire a professional skipper alongside the yacht. The choice is yours when you request the quote.
What sailing licence do I need to charter Tersane 8?
Bareboat charter typically requires a recognised sailing licence (RYA Day Skipper, ICC, ASA, or equivalent) plus a VHF radio licence. The exact requirements depend on the country of charter — we confirm with the operator when you enquire.
What's included in the charter price?
The charter fee covers the yacht, standard equipment, and insurance for the dates booked. Tourist tax, transit log (final cleaning + bed linen), fuel, food, marina fees during the trip, and any optional extras (skipper, paddle board, etc.) are normally extra and paid at the base.
What additional costs should I expect at the base?
Typical mandatory extras are the transit log (often €200–€350), tourist tax (a small per-person-per-day fee), and a refundable security deposit (often €1,500–€5,000 depending on the yacht). Optional extras like a skipper, hostess, paddle board, or early check-in are listed on the quote.
How does the security deposit work?
The deposit is held by the operator at check-in (usually card pre-authorisation) and refunded after check-out if the yacht is returned without damage. Many operators offer a deposit-waiver insurance product that reduces the held amount in exchange for a smaller non-refundable premium.
Can I cancel my charter booking?
Cancellation terms vary by operator. Most allow cancellation with a full refund if requested more than 60–90 days before the start date, with progressive penalties closer to departure. Some operators offer a flexible-cancellation insurance product when you book.
Is the yacht insured?
Yes — every yacht is insured by the operator against damage and third-party liability. The insurance covers the yacht itself; personal effects and trip cancellation are not covered and are worth insuring separately.
What documents do I need to bring?
You'll need your passport, sailing licence (if chartering bareboat), VHF radio licence, and proof of payment. The operator will send a check-in form ahead of time covering crew details and any special requests.
What payment methods are accepted?
Charter fees are normally paid by bank transfer in advance (often a 50% deposit at booking, balance 30 days before charter). On-base extras are usually paid by card or in cash.
