We are glad to announce this great One Way Flotilla that is going to take place in Greece. Starting from the Ionian Islands, specifically from Corfu, the flotilla is going to end, after two weeks of sailing, in Athens.
Richard Rowe, the owner of Sailing Jollies, is organising this great Flotilla. He is a Yacht master and RYA instructor, as well as a Sailchecker approved staff skipper. The lead boat is a Bavaria 51, on which there are 10 berths for individuals. There will also be four 33ft boats along with a 43ft and a 46ft- three 33ft only remaining- for groups with a skipper license. If you are a solo or a couple and you want to practice your sailing skills, you should definetely book a berth on Richard’s boat!
£ 325 p.p/week for a berth on the Lead Boat (around €450/week)
£ 600 for 2 /week on a double/twin cabin on the Lead Boat. (around €840/week)
*single use supplement +50%
€ 900/week for a 33ft boat -up to 6pax. (around £640/week)This is a good option for newly qualified and/or professional captains to bring their own groups. You can book one or two weeks.
Who goes on a Jolly?
Generally, enthusiastic sailors, keen to learn, usually looking to take their experience and skills to the next level. Easy going people who enjoy a good time, usually mid 20’s to mid 60’s bracket whose main focus is on the planning and sailing but who enjoy a few beers at the end of the day.
Most are looking for practice and reinforcement, to gain the confidence to charter their first yacht, or get qualifying passages towards their next qualification. Everyone is introduced to one another via email and our Facebook groups beforehand and we work everything out between us, such as the cabin allocations, dietary preferences and what people want out of the week. All are invited to help to plan the route and the stops they might like to make along the way, based on the conditions of course.
Sailing Jollies run annually in April and October in opposite directions. You should really join!
